WHO NEEDS TO BE CERTIFIED?It’s estimated that 20-25% of forklift accidents occur due to improper training. OSHA requires that any employee operating a powered industrial truck must receive training and be certified prior to operating the truck. OSHA also requires every operator to be re-evaluated every three years.
Even your expert forklifting crew needs a refresher course now and then. Did you know training for forklift drivers is required when a driver is in an accident, has a near miss, is introduced to a new type of equipment, or 3 years has passed since their certification? We can help you get your training in any of these circumstances.
HOW TRAINING WORKSWhen you enroll for forklift training with Ōnin, trainees will receive classroom training that features instruction from certified trainers via video, PowerPoint presentation and verbal instruction. Trainees will also participate in hands on training through maneuvering a forklift through an obstacle course and a variety of tasks to gain practical experience. Upon completion of training according to OSHA’s standards, graduates will receive their operator’s license and certificate!
