MBV Prevention Measures

  • No external visitors permitted unless essential to operations
  • No business travel unless essential to operations
  • Those traveling to high-risk areas required to self- quarantine
  • Increased cleaning across the plant
  • Social distancing including decoupled shifts
  • Medical clinic case management of suspected cases

  • Increased specialized cleaning of all production shops and common areas
  • Installation of hands-free hand sanitizing stations at entry/exit points
    • Note: 60 second waiting period for sanitizer to dry to protect our vans!
  • Installation of foot-operated door openers in all restrooms and other often used doors


  • Temperature scanning required of all those who enter
  • Wellness screening (questions)
  • Anyone with a temperature over 100°F prohibited from entering
  • Wristband issued with a date so team members can go in and out after the initial screening
  • Disposable Mask issued
  • Installation of hands-free hand sanitizing stations at entry/exit points
  • Installation of foot-operated door openers in all restrooms and other often used doors
  • Maintain 6 feet distance if there is a line at the temperature screening or time clock

Prevention Measures for You


  • Masks are required to be worn at all times except when eating, drinking, or smoking.
  • Masks worn inside must be MBV issued masks to ensure quality and safety for team members.
  • Disposable masks can be replaced if broken or soiled.
  • Social distancing of 6 feet should be maintained when able, especially when mask is off in break areas.
  • Keep your wristband on so you can enter and exit throughout the workday
  • When leaving the site, store mask or dispose of it properly in garbage cans.
  • The masks meet standards but are not medical grade, so are not taken away from supplies for healthcare workers.


  • Avoid touching (e.g. shaking hands) when greeting people
  • Wash your hands regularly and sufficiently (20 seconds) with soap and water
  • Sneeze or cough in the arm bend or tissue and turn away from others
  • Keep at least 6 feet away from other people when possible (social distancing)
  • If possible, regularly air out enclosed areas by propping open doors
  • Clean your workspace, phone, tools, etc. on a daily basis (as instructed)


  • Where possible, avoid face to face work meetings
  • Meeting rooms have been marked for seating capacity
  • Seating is marked with green signs. Sit only where marked and do not move chairs.
  • If possible, keep the door open in enclosed spaces

Working Area


Company Measures

  • Cleaning stations are provided for you to clean workstations and tools before working. Please review the work instruction posted.
  • Frequently used common facilities, such as coffee machine, fridge, microwave, restroom, etc., will be disinfected once a shift
  • Break areas are marked, including any temporary seating, with capacity and seating numbers
  • The start of shift meeting may change, rely on communication by a group leader
  • Decoupled shifts were instituted, meaning there is no overlap of shifts inside the plant
  • Job rotation will be decreased to prevent cross-contamination

Prevention Measures for You

  • Always wear mask in the working areas and still keep a 6-foot distance when work area allows
  • Masks can be removed to eat, drink, and smoke in approved break areas where 6 foot distance can be ensured
  • Wash hands after using break or social areas
  • Only wear gloves provided as needed for work. Company provided gloves are not for hygiene. Handwashing is best!

At Meals

Company Measures

  • Lunch box service provided beginning May 4th.
  • Disinfection of cafeteria done according to food hygiene requirements.
  • Tabletops, floor, counters, etc. are disinfected once every 1.5h at peak time and every 4h at the non-peak time.
  • Seating is re-arranged to avoid face-to-face dining.
  • All service staff shall wear masks.

Prevention Measures for You

  • Bringing your lunch or buying a boxed lunch when available is recommended. Food delivery should be avoided to limit amount of external visitors entering site.
  • Mask off only before dining, avoid face-to-face, continue social distancing of 6 feet.
  • Wash hands before and after dining.
  • Dispose of, wash, or store dinnerware immediately.
  • Take away the food items left in the refrigerator at end of day.
  • For everyone’s health and safety, we recommend to take breaks at onsite break areas.


Company Measures

  • There is a quarantine procedure for someone who is directly exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19.
    Direct exposure is defined as un-masked contact of less than 6 ft. distance for greater than 15 minutes.

What are the symptoms of Coronavirus?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure and include:

  • fever over 100.4 degrees
  • dry cough
  • shortness of breath

Some people with Coronavirus may not display any of these symptoms.

The final confirmation of Coronavirus is always provided by a doctor or South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control.


We take on all these prevention measures to protect ourselves, our fellow Team Members, our families and friends and our customers… …but also out of the responsibility that comes from being an essential business operation for our community, our economy and our own need and reasons to work.



What should you do if you have symptoms?

  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms and are ONSITE, you must immediately inform your direct supervisor. Your direct supervisor will provide you with instructions, which may include coordination with MBV Medical Staff for a health screening from an off-site doctor on a personal basis.
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms and are OFFSITE, do not report to work. Please inform your direct supervisor and arrange a health screening either online or in-person with your medical provider.
  • A medical provider’s notice is required in order to return to work. The team member’s badge will be deactivated until this notice is provided to the Medical Center via the team member directly.


The best way we can help prevent the spread of disease is to report symptoms of exposure, illness, or contact so the MBV medical staff can inform those that may have been exposed…


Acting without information directly from your supervisors or the medical staff hurts our team because it stops the flow of accurate, truthful information when we need it most!

Your First Day

  • On your first day, please consider the new process of entry and make a little extra time to familiarize yourself with the screening process.
  • Remember, wearing company-issued face masks is mandatory unless eating or drinking.
  • Please review the new information on food service.
  • If you are experiencing potential COVID-19 symptoms, such as:
    • fever
    • cough
    • shortness of breath
    • or suspect that you have been exposed to someone with the virus, please do not come to work.

Please contact your direct supervisor now so they can discuss next steps with you.

  • • Both Body (East) and Paint (West) turnstiles will be open for Team Member entrance from 5:00 am until 6:00 am Monday through Friday. Please use the Paint (West) entrance for entry or reentry from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm.
  • Assembly North and Assembly West turnstiles will be open for Team Member entrance from 5:00 am until 6:00 am Monday through Friday. Please use the (North) entrance for entry or reentry from 6:00am – 2:00 pm.
  • The Administration building entrance is open 24/7.
