Do I have to go through the entire screening process again?

The great news is that you simply have to apply online and complete the pre-hire paperwork.  That’s it!

What paperwork do I need to bring?

You will need to provide your I-9 documents (list can be found here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/acceptable-documents) and your direct deposit information if you prefer direct deposit.

How do I get paid?

Beginning in January, the only thing that changes is the name on your pay stub. Ōnin pays weekly and you may choose direct deposit or a pay card. We typically pay on Thursday so that if any adjustments need to be made, we can do those on Friday.  One of our core values is that NO ONE goes the weekend without being paid!

What about my benefits?

Eligibility for paid holidays and health insurance begins January 2nd! There is NO WAITING PERIOD! You don’t have to worry about losing your benefits…….as a matter of fact, you will have BETTER benefits in 2020!

How can I find out about the health insurance?

I am so glad you asked because Ōnin has the best health insurance plan in our industry!  They are real and usable benefits that include:

$5 Prescription Drugs

$5 Doctor’s Visit Copays

Free Teledoctor Service

Vision Insurance Included

Will the hours that I have worked at MBV through MAU count towards the minimum 520 hours before I am eligible to be converted to MBV?

Yes!  Any hours worked at MBV through MAU will be grandfathered in and will count towards the required hours.  However, keep in mind that meeting the 520-hour conversion minimum does NOT guarantee a job offer from MBV.  MBV employment offers are based on business need and require. A standard of excellence with attendance, job performance, team interaction, skill level, continuous improvement, safety and quality.

Will we receive paid holidays and/or vacation?

Starting in January 2020, Teammates who are in good standing on Ōnin Group’s payroll will be eligible for up to 5 paid Floating Holidays to be used during plant shutdown (typically July and/or December).  The dates of these Floating Holidays will be determined based on MBV’s business need and will be announced.  You may also receive up to one (1) paid day of Emergency Vacation and one (1) UNPAID day of emergency vacation if the plant is shut down due to Natural Disaster.

Will we receive TeamWear and Safety Shoes? And how will this be handled?

Teammates are required to wear TeamWear and safety shoes as per department specific requirement. Our team will review this with you in detail.

Will we get paid if there is a hurricane and the facility closes?

Starting in January 2020, Teammates who are in good standing on Ōnin Group’s payroll will be eligible for up to 5 paid Floating Holidays to be used during plant shutdown (typically July and/or December).  The dates of these Floating Holidays will be determined based on MBV’s business need and will be announced.  You may also receive up to one (1) paid day of Emergency Vacation and one (1) UNPAID day of emergency vacation if the plant is shutdown due to Natural Disaster.

Because we are getting better benefits at ŌNIN, does this mean that we aren’t getting raises?

Starting in January 2020 with ŌNIN, the benefits package (if elected) does not affect the pay structure.  The pay rate with ŌNIN will remain the same as today.

Are other shifts going to receive $.50 more in shift differential or just 3rd shift?

You may apply anytime online at http://app.oningroup.com

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible so that you can begin the onboarding process.  You may apply from home, at the Ōnin kiosks that are coming soon to MBV, at our office located at 3025 Ashley Phosphate Rd. Suite – Suite C-2B, or on your smart device. Once you apply, you will be sent a link to do your onboarding paperwork.

Will the attendance point system stay the same?

The attendance policy and point system will remain the same; however, Ōnin Teammates will start January 1, 2020 with a clean slate and NO ATTENDANCE POINTS carried over.

When is pay day? Are we paid weekly?

You are paid weekly by Ōnin and pay day is officially Friday, but most direct deposits will hit your account on Thursday.  If you do not have your deposit by 2:00pm on Thursday, please contact our office at (843) 790-9952. Our goal is to pay everyone on Thursday so that any pay corrections can be made on Friday and everyone is fully paid before the weekend.

Can I refer my friends to you now or do they have to wait until January to start?

We love when you refer your friends to Ōnin!  Our contract begins with MBV on January 1, 2020 and anyone referred to us before then would need to be prepared to wait until January to start with Ōnin Group at MBV.

Where is your office located?

We are located at 3025 Ashley Phosphate Rd. Suite C-2B just a few short miles from MBV.  We will be moving to a much larger office on Rivers Ave in a few months, so be on the lookout for our grand opening! Please call us (843) 790-9952 if you need directions.

Do I need to register if I already have 520 hours?

YES! Everyone needs to register, apply and onboard as soon as possible.  We realize that some individuals may be hired directly by MBV before the transition from MAU to Ōnin, but you will still need to apply with Ōnin unless you have a written offer of employment from MBV with a start date before 1/1/20.
