It’s a new year, and at Ōnin, we’re bringing new opportunities for empowerment to our Teammates.
For more than five years, Ōnin has provided scholarship opportunities to its Teammates and their immediate family members through the Endeavor Scholarship program. The Endeavor Scholarship isn’t just for those attending a traditional university degree though. Recipients can use Endeavor Scholarship funds for any education-related expense, including skilled trades degrees, professional certifications, and adult learning opportunities.
“We know people have big dreams, and we want to do our part to help our Teammates make those dreams a reality,” said Christina Johnson, Director of People & Culture at The Ōnin Group. “The cost of education has continued to increase year after year, and we know that in a changing economy, our Teammates need more help investing in their future than ever.”
In 2022, Ōnin decided to expand its commitment to Teammates’ education. In 2021, Endeavor Scholarship applications increased by 97%, indicating that more people were interested in taking their careers to a new level. In turn, Ōnin issued more scholarships than ever before in 2021 — but still desired to do more.
Now, Ōnin will be awarding up to 20 scholarship recipients in 2022 and recipients can receive up to $2,000, depending on their need.
“Every year since its inception, Ōnin has added new benefits to its Teammates Benefits plan, which offers radically affordable physical and mental healthcare in addition to a wide array of other benefits,” said Johnson. “In 2022, we knew it was time to provide more opportunities through the Endeavor Scholarship as well. We’re excited to see all of the amazing things our Teammates will do.”
The Endeavor Scholarship application is open year-round, and recipients will be selected on an ongoing basis throughout 2022.
